India’s insurance giant, LIC, has made history by earning a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most life insurance policies sold in 24 hours. On 20th January 2025, which also marks LIC’s foundation day, over 5.88 lakh policies were sold by 4.5 lakh agents across the country. This incredible achievement brought in an estimated Rs 1,000 crore in premium and was celebrated as Mad Million Day, under the leadership of current MD Siddhartha Mohanty.
