Gurugram, India, 23 June, 2025: The Board of Directors of Sona Comstar, a leading auto component player, has decided to appoint Jeffery Mark Overly ( a board member) as the new Chairman of the company. The position had fallen vacant following the sudden death of its previous chairman Sunjay Kapur in London recently.
Overly has been associated with the company as independent director since since 12th February, 2021. He has over 43 years of operating experience and was an Operating Partner in the Corporate Private Equity Group, based in New York, at the time of his retirement from Blackstone Group in 2018. Before Joining Blackstone in 2008, he held the position of Vice President of Global Fixture Operations at Kohler Company, where he was responsible for its global manufacturing operations. Prior to that, he had a long inning of 25 years at General Motors Corporation and Delphi Corporation in numerous Operations and Engineering positions with global responsibilities.
